Family History

Vinsky Project made their debut in Amsterdam as early as autumn 2005, but kept on reinventing theirselves until today; adding new styles of music to their own complaisant mixture and gaining new, fresh musicians along the way. With a line up now consisting of Dutch, Hungarian and Polish and musicians playing guitar, soapbox percussion, cello, electric bass, tambura and arabic drum and inspiration drewn from touring the Balkan in 2008 and 2009 and listening to Latin-American as well as progressive rock music, they will take you with them on their yet undefined path. What happens next might be the biggest surprise!

Bence

Truly a magnificent classical creature, the wizard on cello, who talks and screams with his strings. Secretly wanting to be a drummer in a metal band, the other group members often have to restrain him in his diabolic state while playing. But this dark yet compelling sound gives an extra edge to the Vinskys and thus they try not to hold him back too much.

Bence likes chocolate and the philosophy of monk Lin-chee of Chinese buddhism.

Paulina

A vocalist born in Poland, raised in Holland, with a flair for adventure. This dramatic little girl decided she needed a life where her creativity could run free. After stumbling into a rehearsal room with the already partially formed Vinsky Project, she immediately recognized the potential to be a complete maniac within music, so off course joined the group.

Inspired by the strange mixture of Nina Hagen, Tori Amos and Julliete Lewis, she now writes her vocals to the equally diverse combination of songs.

Paulina also likes to paint strange creatures, is amazed by goofballs, is in the process of building a "though"-factory and loves to build stories to songs that don´t exist yet.

Robert

Robert switched from the violin to bassguitar at seventeen. Is in love eversince. Plays louder than he talks, and prefers following the wood grain of his bassguitar over sitcoms. Doesn´t watch television but likes to hunt for ducks. Brings his own coffee, even when Senseo is present.

Terence

The brave Terence is the latest addition to Vinsky. He entered the group just before they set of for their second Balkan tour. He is the rhythm master, the brave man that accepted the challenge of keeping the tempos and beat changes in line when the live-vibe gets heavy. His specialty is the diversity in sound that he possesses with bells he picked up in Asia, the drums he bought in Ireland and the list keeps going.

Terence has got a beautiful one year old daughter, Ischa, who sleeps in a room that Terence chopped out of the surrounding stones himself, using a drumstick.

Loves ducks, and usually brings some to shows.

Zoli

Zoli is the main composer/songwriter of the group. Being a multi-instrumentalist enables him to write freely; he plays guitar, tambura, drums and he changes into a Lean-Mean-Beat-Boxing Machine whenever he is holding a mic. He was raised in the Netherlands (Amsterdam and Eindhoven), but was born in the magnificent Budapest. His colorful past is the source of inspiration for a great part of his music.

Zoli loves Beamish, túrórudi, shopska, falafel and he likes to buy records while strolling through shabby markets.
